Q: How do I know what camps my child is eligible for?

A: All of our camps are separated by grade. Whatever grade your child will be entering in the Fall of 2025 is the grade you will use to determine what camps they can go to.

Q: What if I need to cancel my registration?

A: Please communicate all cancellations to OK Camps via phone at (405) 530-2035. Any registrations that are not cancelled through the camps office prior to 10 days before the camp starts will still be held responsible for payment. At this point, meals and materials will have already been ordered for all registered participants.

Q: Can I pay for all my campers with one check?

A: Yes! Please send a note with camper names and camp codes with your check.
However, note that to receive early bird pricing, each camper MUST be paid by the posted May 10th deadline. Churches, please use the bulk processing payment worksheet when paying for multiple campers.

Q: What if I need a refund?

A: We are able to issue refunds, however there is a $25 processing fee that will be withheld. If less than 10 days notice is given no refunds will be made, with limited exceptions. If camp is cancelled for any reason, a full refund will be issued.

Q: What do I do if my church is paying for my camper?

A: You can register your camper like normal! Just enter your church’s code when you get to the payment screen.

Q: Are there scholarships? 

A: Please contact your local United Methodist Church first to check for local scholarship opportunities. A limited number of scholarships are available by request. Please contact the OK Camps office or fill out our scholarship application.

Q: What does my child need to bring to camp?

A: Here is our general packing list! Confirmation emails with specific packing instructions should be emailed closer to the start of camp!

Q: Do I need to send leaders with my group?

A: Most Likely Yes! Contact the camp dean to find out if they are in need of leaders, and what the minimum leaders required for your campers will be. If you do not have any leaders to send with your campers, please contact the dean and arrangements can be made. If you are sending adults to camp, please ensure they register AT LEAST 3 weeks prior to camp. All leaders and volunteers over the age of 18 will need a valid background check and training in order to attend camp, which must be administered 2-3 weeks prior to the camp start date.

Q: Who are the adult leaders at each camp?

A: All adult deans and leaders are volunteers who have a completed background check and references on file with the OK Camps office as well as basic Safe Sanctuary/Sexual Abuse Awareness training. Deans and leaders at a Conference Camp have the added stipulation that they cannot be in an employed role at a non-UMC church. 

Q: Do you have insurance for my campers?

A: Yes! Every camper is covered by insurance for emergency medical up to $3,500 per accident and $1,000 for sickness. This camper insurance policy is limited and is secondary to campers personal insurance. It will not cover pre-existing conditions, nervous or mental disorders, broken glasses, dental work, hearing aids, or other such items.

Q: How can I get involved with camping ministries?

A:

• Volunteering –  We love volunteers! We are always looking for camp nurses, leaders, and leaders in training. Contact camp deans or the conference office if you are interested in helping at a camp.
• Donating – Your donations provide valuable scholarships and resources for our camps. This allows them to continue transforming lives. You may mail a check to the conference office or visit the “ways to Give” section for more information.
• Praying – All of our campers, leaders, and staff greatly appreciate your prayers not only during the summer but throughout the year.

Q: How can I promote camps in my church?

A: We love when you promote camps in your church andthere are several ways to do so! Contact the camps office if you are interested in having a “Camp Sunday” or would like to have someone come speak to your congregation or parents.
